ASD Compassion

Compassion is one of the four values that we follow at ASD.  Therefore, the week before Spring Break, ASD initiated a Compassion Drive to raise awareness and financial support for the victims of the recent earthquakes in New Zealand and Japan.  The ASD students organized a number of activities to support the Compassion Drive. The list of activities was as follows:

• The ASD Compassion Drive began with a Colors Day on Thursday, March 24.  Students wore red and black (New Zealand) or red and white (Japan) to support the people who have lost their homes and/or family members in New Zealand and Japan.
• The Compassion Drive continued during the week of March 27-31.  Students and parents were able to support this Compassion Drive by purchasing 10QR Compassion tickets or by placing money in large plastic jugs throughout the school.
• There was an all school Compassion Walk on Thursday, March 31 from 1:00-1:30 p.m.  High School students created a special T-shirt to be sold to ASD students. Students and faculty who purchased the T-shirt wore it for the Compassion Walk.
